Today Adobe announced an update to their CS5 software with loads of new features for Flash and Flex developers. They also announced changes to pricing and how often they will push out updates.
The biggest update for Flash and Flex developers in this release is the updated Flex 4.5 SDK and Flash Builder 4.5 (Burrito). The new release streamlines the mobile development workflow and really makes it much easier to target Android, Playbook and iOS devices. This is also the first release that integrates with the new AIR 2.6 SDK that is full of new features for mobile development.

At the pace the market is moving these days, it really makes sense to update your software more often than every two year. CS5.5 is the first dot release for the whole CS package, but Flash developers may have already have gotten used to this with the release of Flash Player 10.1, 10.2 and now 10.3 in Beta on Adobe Labs.
