Activation for two?

Activation for two?

David Emberton has posted an interesting discussion at his site ActionScript.com. Flash MX 2004 may be activated on two computers, but they have to be the same OS...

If you use a PC at work and a Mac at home, you can't use the same lisence. If you had a PC or Mac both places it would be no problem. Until now, we thought that the two-cpu deal was to enable users to use the same licence legally both at home and at work?

Another problem: make sure that you do not install on any other platform than the one you intend to use your licence on. The first time you enter the activation code, you tell the platform you will use. First using the code on a Mac will lock the licence to that platform.

This probably won't affect many, but could be really annoying for some. We'd suggest that Macromedia allow dual platforms. If you allow a home/work install, why must the platforms be the same? Cases can be solved either manually or by not evaluating the platform when activating.
