F5 Player Weirdness (updated)

The first Flash 5 player has some minor bugs that might be interesting to know about if you're a Flash developer.

Both the Beta version AND the current version of the Flash player has minor flaws that can be major to some users: the speed set for older Flash movies may playback wrongfully if set to 30 - 120 fps. This may cause too high CPU usage, errors in the GoTo Action and many other artifacts. Read Macromedia's technote to see all the possible problems. There is also a known problem with text-fields (Technote 14716).

This applies to all players with version 5,0,30,0. That is all the current Flash 5 players out there...

Hint: the Flash 5 player will give away it's version number, so these problems may easily be avoided/detected once a fix is made available...
Read the technote
