Adobe just released the first official figures for Flash Player 9 adoption. FP9 is adopted slightly faster than former versions, so it should reach "critical mass" within 6 months..
Image from Adobe MAX 2006 keynote, by Jeremy Misavage Flash Player 9 is adopted at a massive speed and it got an instant boost the night MySpace told all their 90 million users to upgrade. This decition gave the Adobe server guys a couple of rough days, but from the numbers released today, it looks as if we could reach 90% within a year - just a little faster than with Flash Player 8.
Word of advice: start learning Flex 2 now and you will be ready when the Flex Wave hits.
