Flash accessibility unclear
Macromedia takes a bit of a hammering over it's proposals for Flash accessibility.
In an article by Joe Clark at AListApart, Macromedias new accessibility proposal is being criticized.
Macromedia has put much of the blame squarely on an immature design community. But is it really that simple?
Joe covers the concepts of accessibility in his article, as well as his views on how accessibility could be achieved in Flash. As well as pointing out why Macromedias accessibility initiative is faulty.
Joe ends his article by saying: 'The developer community' has a very large contribution to add in making Flash accessible. It’s time for responsible Flash authors to exert pressure, including peer pressure, to do accessibility right.
