Flex 1.5 available today

The biggest news about Flex, is maybe not the update itself, but rather the free version of Flex for non-commercial use.

According to the Macromedia Press release: "Flex 1.5 includes four key benefits that allow developers to build and deploy more effective applications than ever before: improved data display and visualization, more versatile skinning and styling, additional new deployment platforms, and enhanced performance. ".

Said another way: new graph and list components, fixed datagrid, better skinning, Central application creation, improved download speed via shared libraries as well as general speed increase.

Flex 1.0 customers who are on a maintenance plan will receive a free upgrade to Flex 1.5.
