Livemotion 2 preview

Adobe previewed three upcoming products at Flash Forward in Amsterdam: New versions of Illustrator, GoLive and Livemotion.

Michael Ninness stressed there will be much tighter integration between all of Adobe's products. Of particular interest to the assembled Flash developers was the new features of LiveMotion 2.

The timeline in the orginal LiveMotion product was based closely on After Effects. This has been extended further to include AfterEffects style time-stretching and Shy toggles and dedicated Label and Script tracks.

The most exciting addition though is full movie scripting support for not only Actionscript but Javascript (this extends to Javascript Switch statements which are compliled into Actionscript when exported to SWF). The whole program DOM will in fact be fully scriptable. Adobe also revealed a powerful Actionscript debugger that supports break-points in the code - there was much rejoycing!
