Macromedia to Acquire eHelp

Macromedia continues buying up third party companies making products that leverage the power of the SWF format.

With the aquisitions of FireFly from CyberSage, Breeze from Presedia, FlashPrinter from Blue*Pacific and now RoboDemo from eHelp. It looks like it's a good time for those developing additions to Flash.

"eHelp defined the help authoring space with RoboHelp and is now ushering in a new generation of demonstration software with RoboDemo. We look forward to nurturing eHelp's thriving business and continuing this tradition of innovation," said Rob Burgess, chairman and CEO, Macromedia. "Together, Macromedia and eHelp are uniquely positioned to make rich applications even more effective by enabling developers to seamlessly integrate Flash-based help and tutorials into their digital experiences." RoboDemo was reviewed in Flashmagazine February this year.

Macromedia also just announced their good looking second quarter 2004 results, Macromedia Central was just released as a public developer beta, the new server product Royale is around the corner, they've just announced new education solutions for educators and they recently bought more office space. Macromedia headquarters in San Francisco must be an exciting place to work these days.
