Macromedia vs Adobe

Some months ago Adobe Systems filed lawsuit against Macromedia for infringing their use of tabbed palletts.

Many saw this as an attempt to hold back the release of Flash 5, in order to get time to update LiveMotion (see the news archive for more info).

As a direct response to Adobe's lawsuit, Macromedia has filed infringement counterclaims against Adobe systems. The concerned patents relate to changing blended elements and automatic re-blending of elements and visually displaying and editing sound waveforms.
