Minushi released on DVD

Back in July, we wrote about the feature length movie Minushi, done entirely in Flash. Tyler Gibb, the animator behind the movie, just informed us that this week the film will be released as a double DVD set in partnership with Amazon.com's CreateSpace.

Four years after starting production on a film that would see him author over 2,000 sheets of hand-drawings and 7,000 hours of animation, Tyler Gibb has released his feature film entitled "Minushi" to the public at large.

Following its big-screen debut at the Fantasia Film Festival this past summer, a DVD release of "Minushi" has been anxiously anticipated by its international fan base. And fans won't be surprised or disappointed to see that the film - that's roots run deep in the D.I.Y. spirit - is finally being distributed by its author himself.

The "Minushi" double DVD set not only includes the 94 minute feature but also 90 minutes of additional material including the 40 minute "making-of" documentary called "Details." In it Gibb reveals the methods he employed to produce a feature film single-handedly.

The all-regions "Minushi" DVD set will be available for sale online by CreateSpace through Minushi.com and Amazon.com.
