The Adobe community aggregator MXNA as well as a number of Adobe blogs on the same server has been down for some hours now. That's nothing new to it's users, but this time it seems like a planned move.
The MXNA has had serious growing pains over the last years. It's supposedly been kind of a stepchild inside Adobe and formerly Macromedia. Unfortunatly it's also been a really poor showcase of Adobe's ColdFusion language, constantly breaking down. Adobe is painfully aware of this, so much that Ryan Stewart used the oppourtunity to bash it a bit as an april fools joke. Two weeks ago, resident Adobe blogger John Dowell mentioned that change were afoot, and it's hopefully the reason the site is down today. No official announcements have been made, but the current error message is different from the ones we are used to see.
We just received this from Ben Forta: "It's in the process of being moved to newer faster servers, and from CF7 to CF8. Code improvements will come later, but this first change should make things much better. Stay tuned ...". This evening, Ted Patrick posted more info.
While it's down, here's a couple alternative feed aggregators:
