New design for Macromedia

Macromedia has redesigned their main website, and how does it look? It's certainly not exactly What the web can be...

Well, it looks nice, but to us Flasher's this might be bad news. Macromedia has built their menus in Dynamic HTML and have left the Flash-based concept. There is a Flash-file below the menu, and it is used for dynamic content. Why not use this one for the menus? That way it would work for 99% of the worlds browsers (according to Macromedia stats).

What happened here? Isn't Macromedia themselves capable of making menus in Flash? Not only that: the DHTML menus only works with Microsofts Internet Explorer. Macromedia has a cool product called DreamWeaver wich is capable of making this kind of stuff for both IE and Netscape. Why not use it? We simply wonder...

PS! DreamWeaver has a great command that could pre-load all those mouseover images too... Wouldn't that make the site seem more professional?
