Canadian Flash toolmaker Northcode are soon releasing the second version of their popular projector tool SWF Studio and kicks off a competition with $1000 in prices.
Flash can do much more than then web. Using third party tools, Flash can be used for real applications. SWF Studio is a product that has been on the market for a while and it can create PC programs (EXE files) from SWF files with features such as sending email, accessing the file system, reading and writing the Windows registry and more. Version two is still in beta, but to gear up to it's release, Northcode hosts a competition where you can win $1000 in cash. To enter the contest, you must use SWF Studio (trial or full version) to create a copy of your favorite web application.
