Player Support Matrix

Ever gotten any feedback from users telling you that your great FSCommands or JavaScript doesn't work?

It's been known for a while that some advanced Flash functions could not be used by all browsers. Even some pretty basic ones also. Yesterday, Macromedia's Matt Wobensmith made a post to the Chinwag-list about a long wanted tech-note: The Flash Player Browser Support Matrix.

In this matrix you can quickly check if the command you want to use is safe to use, depending on target browsers or OS. Other known things about other browsers such as Opera, Pocket PC and WebTV is also listed.

Did you know that the load movie-command will not work on 68K Mac's or IE3? This matrix will tell you all you need to know.

While at the support-site, check out technote 14526 also. This is a complete overview for How to detect the presence of the Flash Player
