ServiceCapture updated for AS3

Debugging Flash communications has always been hard, but there are solutions that make life easier. Kevin Langdon just updated his ServiceCapture debugging tool to support AS3 and the new remoting classes in Flex 2.

Ever tried to debug what really happens on a server? What do you do when an image fails to load en everything looks correct on the client? Enter ServiceCapture - a tool that will capture all traffic going back and forth between your computer and the world around it. Now theres no need to use SSH and the tail command on logs to find out where something fails.

The Flash remoting debugger is ok, but sometimes it's more valuable to look directly at what goes on between your Flash movie and the server. ServiceCapture goes beyond Remoting also. You can set it to capture SOAP calls, JavaScript, XML, server errors, headers, cached content among other things. ServiceCapture makes watching all this traffic really easy. What is really being sent to the server and what does it respond? ServiceCapture will tell you in a simple but effective debugging interface. This new update will even allow you to debug the new AS3 Remoting and ColdFusion so even early adopters are catered for.

The software also does real Bandwidth Simulation and URL to File Mapping allowing for local testing by replacing a server response with data from a local file.
