Swift3D v3 released
Not long ago, Flashmagazine could show you a preview of the third version of Swift 3D. The program is now officially released and it looks like Erain will change your perception of what 3D quality can be achieved in Flash.
v3 based on Erains next generation SWF engine, RAViX III. RAViX III now supports:
Transparency - Renders individual objects with opacity settings respected by Flash
Reflectivity - Supports reflective materials to create realistic vector and raster effects
Advanced Specularity - Gradated highlights add depth to low-bandwidth output styles
Multiple Shadows - Overlapping shadows from any light source increase visual accuracy
All the features from v2 - 3 Outline levels, 5 Cartoon shading levels and 2 Gradient shading levels.
In addition to vector output, Swift 3D v3 adds support for bitmap output using the EMO RayTracer. The modeling features have been extended, with Lathe, Extrude, morphs and more primitives. Another important addition is the Swift 3D Importer for Flash MX. This utility program will let you import your models into Flash, complete with named layers for highlights, shadows and objects.
The full price of the download version will be 169.00 USD, while upgrades are 89.00 USD , with a limited time offer to upgrade for 79.00 USD.
