Actionscript.com celebrates its 7th birthday with a coding competition - make an oldschool text effect using the new possibilities in Flash 8. First prize is $500 in cash and a great bundle of software and books.
It's been a while since the last coding competition so this is a great way to celebrate a birthday. Use Satori's text class to create cool effects. Since this is a competition by the community - for the community, there's no small print saying you have to be from Canada or mainland US or something like that. Anyone not working directly for actionscript.com can participate, so dig up those classic 64kb demos and see what you can learn from that. Recombine and innovate to win the grand prize.
