The heat is on

More and more media are catching up on the story of the possible Flash Plugin exploit.

German computer news-site heise.de even goes as far as linking to Macromedia's own document on removing the Flash player.

At SlashDot and multiple sites across the web, the discussion are booming. How dangerous is it really?

bad-badtz-maru writes to Slashdot: 'The original shockwave player buffer overflow post was made into bugtraq a few days ago. Typically, once someone demonstrates a buffer overflow in such a widely used product, someone else will post a working exploit within 30-60 days.'

How dangerous is it then? The question on many of the boards and Flash mailing lists is why isn't Macromedia saying anything? FlashMagazine have emailed our contacts at Macromedia with no reply the last two days.
