Transform/Translate SWF

Some time ago, Macromedia 'killed' Generator but the need for generating SWFs still exist. Many servers rely on Java and Stuart from Flagstone Software Ltd have made 3 nifty programs for SWF programmers.

Transform SWF is a Java framework for reading/writing SWF files. The tool can be integrated into programs as well as run on a server and has full support for images, fonts, text and sounds. Transform SWF also has a library with utilities for several tasks. Translate SWF is a SWF compiler that works with Transform SWF.

Flash files contain a sequence of data structures known as tags that describe a set shapes, fonts, images and sounds and how they are presented in an animation. Describe SWF is the third tool from Stuart that will let you allows you to browse the contents of a Flash file - examining each tag and the values assigned to each field.
