Ultrashock gets a makeover

Flash Community site Ultrashock has (finally) gotten a makeover. It's looking really fresh and the new site is also Flex based (except for the forums).

There's been talk of the Ultrashock.com redesign for many years. Now it's finally here and it's looking really good. The site has a new system that allows you to shop for royalty free images, sounds, vector illustrations and FLAs (much like Flashden.net) as well as community blogs. The site is done using Flex and supports deep linking and browser buttons/navigation. The site is still "beta" so if you have the debug version of the Flash Player, you can safely "dismiss all warnings". It looks really slick though and this could be what is required to revitalize this classic site. Once the coolest forum to hang around for serious Flash users, Ultrashock has lost a lot of steam the latest years allowing competing sites and blogs to take a lot of their business.



These are only stats from a single source with limited precision, but still indicates that Ultrashock have lost market share. With a fresh new design and great new features, Ultrashock can now make up for some lost time.
