Want color? Try In The Mod

Dr. woohoo, aka Drew Trujillo has a special passion for colors. His site In The Mod is a cool alternative to Adobe's Kuler, COLOURlovers and other services. Now he has a new twist combining Adobe Illustrator CS3, Flickr and In The Mod: Color Analytics.

Found an image you like and want that mood for your next design? In The Mod will let you analyze the colors used in famous works of art. This can be a great way to gather inspiration for colors for a project. Drew has now taken this a bit further and created a mashup that let's you search Flickr and In The Mod: Color Analytics, analyze the colors in the images returned and then save them directly to the Swatches Panel in Adobe Illustrator. Agencies presenting mood boards to clients can now snap a picture and let this tool produce a great starting point.

Download the mashup app here

PS: If you do work with After Effects, you may also want to check out Drew's professional site. He has a couple cool extensions for moving audio and transform properties from AE to Flash.
