Last years event was hailed as the best conference of the year so expectations were high for this years Flash on the beach. Moving the conference back to November has meant the harsh winter winds have been replaced by bright sunshine.
When you look at the list for speakers for this years Flash on The Beach it reads like Who's Who of the business. With a list of top notch talent old and new this years conference was completely sold out before it started.
Despite the full attendance only a few sessions had to turn people away at the door. Although it's difficult to predict atendees interests both the Papervision3D sessions were packed in when they should probably have been in the main hall.

At
any conference, you can only see that much and with three tracks most
of the day, you'll have to choose between good and good all the time.
This is a writeup of some of the sessions the Flashmag team attended
the first day of the conference.
Day
two and three at Flash on the beach. We can report with some confidence
that the bar at the speakers hotel 'The Ship' was still doing pretty
good business at 4.30am. The results of which has left the streets of

Jens has been working with Flash since version 3 came out. Since then, he's been an active member of the Flash community. He's created more than a hundred Flash games (thus the name of his blog) but he also creates web/standalone applications, does workshops and other consulting. He loves playing with new technology and he is convinced that the moment you stop learning you die (creatively speaking). Jens is also the Editor of this website.
