In a foggy Sydney, WebDU kicked off in classic fashion with brand new set of hilarious animations from Nectarine poking fun at the speakers, Adobe, Microsoft and the web community at large. After this, Mike Downey took stage to present the Adobe Keynote where he showed Flash CS4 publicly for the first time.

The second leg of the OnAIR tour kicked off at the Munchen-Brewery in Stockholm. Despite the beautiful weather outside, the room was packed during the whole day. Not bad for a free marketing event?

At the Stockholm OnAIR event, Adobe showed the preliminary roadmap for AIR. This month there will be a 1.1 update that offer localized installers as well as a couple new API commands.

When Adobe merged with Macromedia, many Flash users were afraid that Adobe would also meld Acrobat with Flash, creating a behemoth plugin. Today, Acrobat 9 was launched and it actually contains the full Flash Player 9. A lot of the new Acrobat 9 features are Flash driven.

After almost 10 years of working with Flash, I sometimes make the mistake of assuming that everyone knows what Flash is. Most people can't succinctly define it - they have their perceptions, but it's vague. Maybe you're someone that can define it. Kudos to you, but ask your spouse, friends, or family. They may even know you as someone that "does Flash stuff." But ask them what Flash is and you get partial answers at best.

Today, Adobe was alerted to what could be one of the first successful exploits of the Flash Player. All users are urged to update their Flash Player to the latest version immediately. The exploit is using a known vulnerability and all Flash Players except for the latest version are a target.

Today, Adobe put out more beta software for you to test on their Labs site. We have not tried the new Dreamweaver yet, but maybe the new Live View feature can make us use FireBug less?
