We've formerly written about other Flash to Phone solutions, but Ribbit was actually doing this long before the others. To get more mindshare with developers, they've now put on a competition with a total of $100k in prizes. The Grand Price is a massive $30.000 so if you have the time and an idea of how to use telephony in your app, check this out.

A peek at the Flash Player 10 features in Papervision

Ralph Hauwert just released a series of demos featuring the upcoming Flash Player 10 version of Papervision and it sure looks good! 3600 faces with an environment reflection shader that plays at more than 40fps is unheard of with today's engines. This is a nice peak at what's to come and there's more in the pipe!

There's two more new Flash-related technologies at Adobe Labs today. PatchPanel is a library that will let you script some of the CS3/4 tools from Flex. If you attended Dr. Woohoo's session at FOTB, you may have seen an early preview of these powerful tools. Durango on the other hand is a rapid prototyping tool for AIR applications that has some rough edges. Is it the wrong solution to the right problem?.

At the MAX conference, Adobe unveiled a great new tool for their User Groups offering everything you need to get a UG started: blogs, commenting, discussions, user profiles, networking, event listings, job listings and more.
