Dreamweaver, Fireworks and Studio MX 2004 announced

Both Dreamweaver MX 2004, Fireworks MX 2004 and Studio MX 2004 were also announced today. All tools pack a lot of new features and integration with Flash is even tighter.

Dreamweaver is totally reengineered from bottom up and now has strong support for CSS. Dreamweaver also constantly validates your document for several browsers while you're writing it, so you don't need to think too much about what features are supported on what browsers. Dreamweaver will alert you if a feature is not supported. Dreamweaver also ships with HALO interface elements and a lot of sample files based on CSS. These should give developers good ideas on how to rebuild table-based sites to CSS.

Dreamweaver now support seamless support for Word and Excel and you can even do simple image editing directly with no need to have Fireworks installed. PHP support is also extended.

Fireworks is now even more extendable and bitmap editing is better/faster than ever. Fireworks also has gotten FTP-support directly in the program. How about being able to launch Fireworks directly from Flash to edit a bitmap? All these content tools delivered at the same time is just impressive!

As with Flash, the prices remain just about the same:
Dreamweaver: $399 ($199 upgrade)
Fireworks: $299 ($149 upgrade)
Studio MX 2004: $899
Studio MX 2004 (w/Professional): $999
