This
week, the stormy beach of Brighton is filled with Flash designers and
developers for a three day conference featuring three parallel tracks
and a great lineup of speakers. Flashmagazine is there to tell you what
is happening.
..and now for something completely different..
My next session was with Craig Swan of Crash!Media talking about The User as the Interface. I got in a little late as I had to go out in the foyer to post the keynote, but this was really inspirational!
Explorations with ActionScript 3
Todays
second session was an old favorite, Branden Hall. Branden was
everybody's Actionscript guru back in the Flash 4 and 5 days. He did
some amazing things back then that really inspired me to quit using
Director and rather use Flash and ...
Keep Interested - Eric Natzke
Another
old time favorite from former Flash conferences is Natzke. Before his
presentation he showed off an awesome black and white video of
generated graphics set to sound, exported from Director as a quicktime
movie to improve playback.

movies contained no warnings about what you were about to see. Todays
movies have these long warnings and you are no longer taking any

Microsoft invades The Beach
Microsoft's
presence in Brighton is pretty impressive. They are far more visible
than Adobe and they are here to show off the designer tools announced
yesterday and grab developers from the pool of Flash developers and
designers present.

was a few sore heads on day 3 as it was the morning after the big
party, but most of the attendees made it back for another great series
of sessions.
