As usual, the Linux users have to wait a while before they get the latest player. Now the wait is over.
Macromedia have been working with Sun to to port the Flash Player code to the Linux OS. Just a couple months ago, Macromedia had a job opening for working on the player, so we assume that position is filled? Now, Linux users may again experience the same content as PC and Mac users. The Flash Player 5 for Linux arrived a long time after Flash 5 itself was launched. The Flash Player 6 for Linux arrived about 9 months after the new player for Mac and PC. The new version 7 for Linux, is about the same, so we guess it's "on schedule".
