Flashmagazine made wearable (and more)

Flashmagazine made wearable (and more)

Here at Flashmagazine life is probably as hectic as the case is for most if not all of our Flash development peers. To stay updated at all times we carry around our small PDAs, and what wouldn't be more natural than to be able to keep updated on the latest Flash news with these tiny gadgets?

Inspired by Phillip Torrone and Flashenableds AvantGo channel we set out to make available the content of Flashmagazine for all PDAs out there. As a start it only made sense to launch our own Flashmagazine AvantGo channel with the latest news updates.

If you have a Palm OS or Windows CE device, you can add Flashmagazine Wearable News to your PDA right away, just click the AvantGo logo and you will be receiving our news within seconds!

The PDA version of Flashmagazine has allready been named &Flashmagazine Wearable News&. But while our first release of Flashmagazine Wearable News only contains the last 10 news stories, we will be launching a much more extensive wearable version before summer 2001.

We are also working with Mobile Mutant to release a Flash version of Flashmagazine for PDAs. That version should be available shortly after Mutant Player 2.0 launches.

...and more
There have been some other updates to Flashmagazine. You will find that it is now possible to bookmark news stories here at Flashmagazine. We will also be adding a bookmark feature to all our articles and content very shortly. Our bookmark function will be made available as open source.

Archive
Under the Article section in the menu you will now find an archive of all the articles ever published here at Flashmagazine.
But wait... there is more. :-)

Syndication
For those of our readers that have their own web sites covering Flash we are now making our updated headlinges from Flashmagazine News available with direct links to the news stories in Flashmagazine.

There will be no costs for receiving Flashmagazine News syndicated, and we will be available for help and guidance to make sure the implementation of our newsfeed goes without problems.

There are a number of ways you can receive the Flashmagazine syndicated newsfeed.

We can supply our news in swf format with the layout you want, as data textfiles (the same format you would use for loadvariables), or in almost any other requested format.
