Adobe just put out new Beta versions of Flex 3, AIR, Flash Player, Adobe Media Player, Spry, Dreamweaver and Flash extensions for AIR and the all new product "Share".
Today is christmas eve for Flash users. Lot's of new software, the AIR Developer Derby winners announced as well as a brand new beta version of the Flash Player that ties it all together. According to Flash Player developer Tinic Uro, most of the updates in this version of the player are for stability, so no new video codecs or major capabilities this time around. Or is it?
Among todays releases, you'll also find a download of a preview version of the much hyped Adobe Media Player, a standalone FLV player (plus more). It kind of puzzles us that it took Adobe such a long time to see the need for this, but now it's finally here. Adobe has figured a way to jam-pack the video's with advertising. We'll see if this works out in the end, but it's an interesting idea in a market where all the other Video Player software makes have given up monetizing their product.
