Macromedia launches affiliate program

In a move that is sure to broaden the sales channels for Macromedia, the company today launched its first affiliate program. The program promises to pay up to 10% commision on sales of Macromedia products by participating sites.

Appropriatly the launch of the program was not announced by the company through any press-release, but instead communicated to the community through Macromedia's corporate bloggers.

The Macromedia Affiliate Program is available for participation to all sites, with the exception of sites that Macromedia find contains "objectionable" material. International sites will be included in the program, but Macromedia says the program will only operate with US dollars.

Right now the program only includes two products - Macromedia Studio MX and Macromedia Contribute, but more products will be added later.
