Studio MX 2004 updaters available

Macromedia has just released updaters for Dreamweaver MX 2004, Fireworks MX 2004 and even Freehand MX.

The updaters fix several problems in the products and if you have the Studio package, you should download and install them all. A Flash updater has been available some months already, but another is in the works. There are still several issues that must be addressed before Flash MX 2004 is 100%, but the current fix will resolve most problems you may have. Read more on the Dreamweaver update here.

Macromedia also updated the EULA agreement that comes with their products. The EULA is the legal text that you are supposed to read before using the MX04 components. Usally nobody cares as we expect Macromedia to be open and geared towards sharing since thats what made Flash big in the first place. Grant Skinner actually read the full text and found that he could not use a single line of the FMX2004 code by Macromedia in his projects and Gregg Wygonik found out that he couldnt even distribute any component that was using the new framework. According to Grant, the update "almost" solves the problems.
